Why I'm passionate about advertisment

 Hi my name is Jackson Pone and this is my first blog post and I'm going to be talking about why advertising is fascinating to me. 

  • My first reason is that advertising is a form of art and I like drawing a lot and sometimes I just thought maybe I should do some art for like a movie poster or just anything media related. 
  • I want to put my art out there but in a different way and I thought advertising would be a unique way in showing a version of art off. 
  • For example I would probably do like a cartoonish ad for Spotify since it'll be unique and I want to catch the eyes of people if they randomly walk by it or see it on Instagram. The reason it'll probably be cartoonish is because most of the time I draw it's usually cartoony. 
  • Like this one here. This was advertising the revival of the X-Men show from the 90s which is now called X-Men '97 streaming on Disney Plus. I like this poster since it's VHS tapes which was common in the 90's and fits in with the show since it has a Saturday morning vibe.


  • In conclusion I just think advertising is a form of art in the way and can be interesting showing it off through media.

Why I'm taking intro to Mass comm

  Why I'm taking Intro to Mass Comm Hey everybody it's me Jackson Pone and I'm going to be talking about why I'm taking intro to Mass Comm. First thing first I'm required to this class for my major which is Mass communications. I'm taking this class because I think it'll help me learn some more things about mass communications and I view it as a first step to my path brick by brick. One thing I enjoy doing is drawing a lot so I'm really hoping that I can do some of that in this class maybe some projects will have that option in there.
