What I learned from my Mass Comm class Part 2

Later in the semester, we had a guest speaker in our class, Jessica Michelle Hall, who is both a rockstar and a senior political research assistant. She spoke about the importance of building a personal brand and understanding what you want to communicate to your target audience. This made me realize that I need to create a brand that captures people’s attention, specifically aimed at my audience. I also need to determine the best platforms for sharing my work, whether it's social media or a professional website like LinkedIn. Primarily, I would post my art on Instagram or TikTok, hoping that my target audience will find it there. However, since some people may not use social media, LinkedIn could be a valuable addition for showcasing my brand in a more business-focused setting. My goal is to use my art in media-related advertising, such as for movies, so that audiences are drawn in and want to see more. What Jessica shared really emphasized a basic yet crucial lesson find your people!
